In a bid to enhance citizen convenience, the interim Chief Minister of Punjab, Mohsin Naqvi, unveiled an online application on Monday designed to streamline the process of obtaining a learning driving license in Lahore.
The initiative, a collaboration between the caretaker government of Punjab and the Punjab Police, introduces a user-friendly application that empowers citizens to acquire a learning driver’s license without enduring lengthy queues, all from the convenience of their homes.
For those encountering difficulties in obtaining a license through the application, an alternative option is available. Licenses can be acquired in person at the front desk of any of the 737 police stations or at Khidmat Marakiz located throughout Punjab.
Mohsin Naqvi shared a video of the launch event on X, formerly known as Twitter, along with the caption: “Exciting update! To simplify the process of obtaining a learner’s license, we’ve embraced digitalization! Now, you can submit your application online using the Punjab Police app, and the service is also accessible at 737 police stations and all Khidmat Marakiz across Punjab.”
