The Punjab government stated on Monday that zoos with international standards will be built in four major towns, including Lahore.
Mohsin Naqvi, Punjab’s caretaker chief minister, emphasised the significance of renovating existing zoos and integrating contemporary amenities to guarantee tourists had an international-level experience.
To improve the existing status of Lahore Zoo and Safari Park, the Caretaker Chief Minister has tasked a team of specialists with upgrading the facilities.
Suggestions are being solicited from a variety of stakeholders, including wildlife experts, architects, and residents, to guarantee that the refurbished zoos satisfy international standards for animal welfare, habitat design, and visitor participation.
Mohsin Naqvi, the caretaker CM, indicated that an online ticketing system will be implemented to appropriately evaluate the income of zoos.
In addition, the government has ambitious plans to modernize Lahore’s Safari Park in the famed Singaporean style.
The concept also calls for the creation of walking parks and play spaces within zoos to cater to families and those looking for leisurely strolls among lush nature.
In addition, plans to construct a safari train will allow visitors to tour the zoos in a fun and educational way, providing insights into the animals’ habitats and behaviours.
