The interim Punjab government has decided to file a reference against a judge for allegedly assisting terrorists.
The decision was made during a high-level meeting in Lahore headed by Punjab interim CM Mohsin Naqvi to review the progress of legal proceedings against the miscreants involved in the May 9 incidents.
The assembly approved financial rewards for locating the suspects involved in terrorist attacks. Participants in the discussion expressed worry about the ‘facilitation’ of the accused mentioned in the ISI headquarters attack.
While directing a follow-up on the cases made against the miscreants, the interim chief minister stated that the arrest of the fleeing miscreants should be assured as soon as feasible.
The attendees were informed that arrests are being made with the assistance of NADRA and that 628 rioter calls with the senior leadership of a political party had been detected.
According to Naqvi, the violence on May 9 was “preplanned,” and it will be known as “Black Day” in the country’s history.
