With a rapid increase in the transmission of the Delta variant of Coronavirus, the Punjab government has issued new SOPs to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the province during the Eid holidays.
According to the Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department (PSHD), only vaccinated citizens will be allowed to travel across the inter-province boundary or enter tourist destinations in the province.
Hotel owners have been ordered to cancel the reservations of all unvaccinated citizens with immediate effect while Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) of tourists at sentinel sites in tourist spots will also be conducted.
Public transport in tourist spots will be allowed to operate at 70% of the total capacity while indoor dining in restaurants hosting tourists will be allowed with 50% occupancy.
