In a surprise visit to the Police Khidmat Markaz at Liberty Chowk, Lahore, the interim Chief Minister of Punjab, Mohsin Naqvi, made a significant announcement regarding the retake of driving license tests. Addressing citizens’ concerns and complaints during the visit, Naqvi took decisive steps to improve the process.

One of the key announcements made by CM Mohsin Naqvi was the reduction of the driving license test retake time to just 15 days. This marks a substantial decrease from the previous waiting period of 42 days, providing citizens with a quicker opportunity to pass the test and obtain their licenses. Additionally, recognizing the challenges posed by the chilly weather, Naqvi directed the implementation of arrangements to ensure citizens’ comfort.

To alleviate the issue of long queues and waiting times, the caretaker CM introduced a new initiative. Starting from December 25, citizens will have the option to schedule appointments in advance before visiting Khidmat centers, streamlining the process and reducing inconvenience.

Furthermore, addressing the technological aspect of the licensing process, Naqvi announced the upcoming launch of mobile applications for both Android and iOS platforms. These applications will facilitate the application process for driving licenses and learner’s permits. While citizens currently have the option to obtain learner’s permits through the website, the introduction of mobile apps is expected to enhance accessibility and efficiency.

Overall, these initiatives by the caretaker Chief Minister aim to enhance the driving license application process, making it more convenient, efficient, and responsive to citizens’ needs.
