Punjab sports minister Malik Taimoor Khan stated on Monday that work on a stadium in the village of Pakistani javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem, who won the gold medal at the Commonwealth Games, will begin right away.
The provincial sports minister stated, “Arshad Nadeem is a national hero, and I will welcome him.”
“A grand ceremony will be organised in honour of all the athletes who bagged medals in the Commonwealth Games, including Arshad Nadeem,” he announced.
“The entire nation is proud of Arshad Nadeem. Arshad Nadeem had earlier been given sports facilities. He will be given all possible facilities in future too,” he stated.
He promised that the Punjab Sports Board will keep up its aggressive efforts to promote sports.
