The caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab, Mohsin Naqvi, has taken action to investigate the recent incidents of vandalism and arson in Jinnah House and other government-owned structures. CM Naqvi established a Joint Interrogation Team (JIT) to look into the matter.
During a review meeting chaired by Naqvi, the Inspector General (IG) Punjab briefed on the current state of peace and security in the region. The caretaker CM then directed the formation of a JIT to investigate the incidents of vandalism, arson, and encirclement in Jinnah House and other government-owned properties. The JIT will prepare a comprehensive report on its findings, which will be presented to the government.
To aid in the investigation, Geo-fencing will be carried out in all locations that were subject to hooliganism and arson. This move is expected to help authorities identify and apprehend those responsible for the criminal activities.
The establishment of the JIT and the use of Geo-fencing highlights the caretaker CM’s commitment to maintaining law and order in the province. The government is expected to take swift action against those found responsible for the recent acts of violence and vandalism.
