Prime Minister Imran Khan was told on Friday that 40 million Sehat Insaf cards would be issued to Punjab residents in 36 districts beginning December 31.
At the Sehat Insaf Card presentation, it was revealed that the distribution operation would begin by the end of the year and would be finished by March 2022.
“All resources will be provided for increasing public knowledge about its utilization,” it was reported, as the prime minister stated that providing universal health care was one of the existing government’s main visions.
Imran Khan stated that it is the obligation of the state to offer basic health care to the most vulnerable members of society. “The Sehat card would also encourage the health industry, particularly private hospitals,” he added, adding that the Sehat card will give uniform amenities.
The prime minister stated that anyone going to hospitals to use the card should be appropriately assisted, particularly the illiterate.
“Feedback from those who use the service should be made an essential element of the system in order to improve,” the prime minister stated, and he instructed the formation of a dedicated cell to ensure efficient project execution.
According to earlier reports, Citizen Portal would handle Sehat Insaf Card complaints after Prime Minister Imran Khan’s orders to the Performance Delivery Unit.
Following the premier’s orders, a new category has been created on the citizen portal for submitting concerns about the Sehat Insaf Card.
