Queen’s Baton of Commonwealth Games was handed over to Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah in Karachi on Tuesday.
President Commonwealth Games Association Pakistan Lt Gen Syed Arif Hussain gave the baton to the Chief Minister at a ceremony at Mausoleum of Quaid E Azam.
On the occasion, Sindh Chief Minister said that provincial government will provide every possible assistance to Olympics Association in organizing games.
He said sports and education always connect different customs and traditions.
The Queen’s Baton of Commonwealth Relay Games has been an essential part of the Commonwealth Games for over 6 decades and celebrates communities from across the Commonwealth during the run-up to the Games. The Games will be held from July 28 to August 08 next year at Birmingham, UK.
