Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, has urged students to register promptly for the Prime Minister’s Youth Laptop Scheme, which aims to provide 100,000 laptops to eligible students across the country. Speaking at a press conference, Khan announced that the laptops would be distributed based on merit to students enrolled in public sector higher education institutions.
The registration for the scheme is now open through the Prime Minister’s Digital Youth Hub, with the deadline for applications set for May 20, 2025. Rana Mashhood emphasized that this initiative would be a significant boost to students’ educational journeys, providing them with the tools necessary to succeed in today’s digital learning environment.
Khan expressed his pleasure at the launch of the registration process, noting that this would be a critical step in bridging the digital divide and enhancing the quality of education for young people in Pakistan. He further mentioned that the laptops would enable students to access a wide range of educational resources and online platforms, facilitating their learning and academic growth.
The Prime Minister’s Youth Laptop Scheme is part of the government’s broader effort to empower youth and equip them with the technological tools needed for their academic and professional futures. Eligible students from across the country are encouraged to apply before the May 20 deadline.
