The RGA Official squad, which had a number of extremely talented players, won the Garena Free Fire ‘Soobai’ Series championship on Sunday night in the Gymnasium Hall of the Nishtar Park Sports Complex.
At the widely attended closing ceremony, Asadullah Faiz, Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab, served as the special guest. In the midst of wild cheers from the winning side’s supporters, he presented the winners’ trophy to the RGA Official team.
Imran (captain), Rehman, Rana, Flash, and Ahsan from the RGA Official squad won the coveted championship and received a sizeable cash prize of Rs 1.5 million. Mohammad Junaid was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) and received a cash prize of Rs 50,000 for his great performance in the competition.
Additional officials included Director Sports Nadeem Qaiser, Director Youth Affairs Syed Omair Hasan, Deputy Director Tariq Wattoo, Administrator NPSC Gymnasium Hall Mustfa Shah, Lead of Pakistan Free Fire Esports Hamza Hashmani, PR and Communication Manager Falak Gondal, and others at the first-ever mega Esports event held under the sponsorship of Sports Board Punjab.
Earlier, the Garena Free Fire ‘Soobai’ Series finale at the Nishtar Park Sports Complex Gymnasium Hall was officially opened by Director General Sports Punjab Muhammad Tariq Qureshi.
In order to promote Esports among the province’s youth, Sports Board Punjab and Garena Sports also inked a Memorandum of Understanding. The Memorandum of Understanding was signed and exchanged by Falak Gondal of Garena Free Fire Esports and Director General Sports Punjab Muhammad Tariq Qureshi.
All Stars, New Era, RGA Official, The Guardians, No Mercy, Alpha, Xenon Esports, Ready to Fight and Quetta Stabbers participated in the grand finale of Garena Free Fire Soobai Series.
Four teams from Punjab, three teams each from Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and two teams from Balochistan were in action during the mouthwatering Esports fights.
