Today in Peshawar, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will convene in order to sight the Ramazan-ul-Mubarik crescent.
The meetings of the Zonal and District Ruet-e-Hilal Committees will take place at the respective headquarters at the same time.
The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee’s Chairman, Moulana Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabir Azad, will make the formal declaration regarding the crescent’s sighting or lack thereof.
The first Ramadan will start in Saudi Arabia on Thursday despite the fact that the Ramadan crescent has not yet been seen there.
