Due to a knee injury sustained during the T20 World Cup 2022 final against England, star sprinter Shaheen Shah Afridi was left out of the 18-person roster. On Sunday, he also had an appendectomy to remove an inflamed appendix.

The England cricket team, captained by Ben Stokes, is currently in the UAE getting ready for the three-match Test series. The visitors will take a three-day practice match against the England Lions before arriving in Islamabad on November 27.

For a historic test series, England will go to South Asia for the first Test match in 17 years. The Pakistan Cricket Board is reportedly considering other options for the location of Pakistan vs. England Test series as a result of the ongoing Azadi March by the former ruling PTI, with the home series likely to be held in Karachi, the largest city in the nation.

The first Test will be moved to the port city that was already slated to host the final game if political unrest in the twin cities doesn’t abate, and Multan will host the second Test.

Schedule

December 1-5 – 1st Test, Rawalpindi

December 9-13 – 2nd Test, Multan

December 17-21 – 3rd Test, Karachi
