While talking to Arab News the IIU institute’s rector has recently said that Saudi Arabia is all set to start constructing a mosque soon. The mosque will be named after King Salman bin Abdul Aziz in Pakistan, at the new campus of IIU- the International Islamic University, Islamabad.
According to dr. Masoom Yasinzai “This is not going to be just a mosque; however, it will have a huge complex along with the research and cultural center for the scholars as well as students.” He further said that it will house a library also along with a museum, and also an auditorium that will be named after the Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman.
Furthermore, the rector of IIU added that the research center will focus on the Arabic language and the Islamic culture along with heritage. The center will be equipped with digital technology in order to provide online Arabic courses from Islamabad to the entire world.
