ISLAMABAD: The Saudi Arabian Embassy in Pakistan organized a cultural exhibition in Lahore to mark the Kingdom’s 94th National Day, commemorated annually on September 23 to honor the 1932 proclamation of Saudi Arabia by King Abdulaziz.
The event showcased Saudi cultural heritage and was attended by notable figures, including Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malki and Punjab Governor Saleem Haider Khan. The Saudi Embassy expressed gratitude for the warm participation of the Pakistani public, stating that the presence of their “Pakistani brothers” reflected the strong bond between the two nations.
Saudi Arabia and Pakistan share deep economic, defense, and religious ties. The Kingdom is home to over 2.7 million Pakistani expatriates, making it a vital source of remittances for Pakistan’s economy. In addition, Saudi Arabia has consistently supported Pakistan by offering oil on deferred payments and providing financial assistance to stabilize the country’s foreign reserves.
“Saudi Arabia has always stood by Pakistan in times of need,” Governor Khan remarked, underscoring the enduring partnership between the two nations.
