LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Monday unveiled the full calendar of the Blackcaps’ dual tours to Pakistan, which will take place between December 2021 and May 2021.
During their first phase of the tour, which runs from December 27 to January 15, the Kiwis are scheduled to play in two Tests and three One-Day Internationals. From April 13 to May 7, the team is scheduled to play five T20Is and as many ODIs.
The two Test matches, which are a part of the ICC World Test Championship during the first leg of the Blackcaps tour, will take place in Karachi and Multan. On January 11, 13, and 15, the team will play three matches in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League before returning to Karachi.
Four Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) in Karachi on April 13, 15, 16, and 19 will kick off the Kane Williamson-led team’s second leg of the Pakistan trip. They will then travel to Lahore for the fifth T20I (April 23), which will be followed by two ODIs (April 26 and 28). On May 1, 4, and 7, Rawalpindi will host the final three One-Day Internationals.
After England’s recent seven-match T20I series and Australia’s previous comprehensive series in March/April, New Zealand will be the third well-known team to visit Pakistan this year. Three Tests will be played when England comes back in December.
