Government and private schools in Punjab will be closed tomorrow (Thursday) due to an increase in Pink Eye cases in the province.
The Punjab interim CM Mohsin Naqvi issued the directive to keep schools closed in the province.
To avoid the spread of the eye illness, teachers have been instructed to examine kids at the main entrance of the schools beginning Monday.
Conjunctivitis, often known as Pink Eye, is becoming increasingly widespread in Punjab and other parts of the country.
Within the last 24 hours, the Punjab Health Department reported 85 new cases of conjunctivitis, also known as Pink Eye.
Patients have been advised to clean their eyes with prescribed eye drops and tissues, with the option of using cold water for temporary relief. The provincial government’s health agency emphasized the need to use hand sanitizers and recommended against touching one’s eyes without fully cleaning one’s hands.
The health department cautioned avoiding sharing goods such as pillows, clothes, medicine, and bedding with patients suffering from eye infections. Patients were also advised not to reuse facial products.
