The Senate on Monday passed a resolution recommending the government explore water alternatives including Rain Water Harvesting System on priority.
The Senate also recommend to take necessary steps to bridge the gap between growing water demand and supply in Islamabad.
Furthermore, The resolution of exploring rain water harvesting system moved by Seemee Ezdi expressed deep concern over the poor water distribution and management system, scarcity of potable water and depleting supply capacity of Simly Dam and Khanpur Dam. It is causing severe hardships to residents of Islamabad.
Moreover, The House also passed another resolution moved by Shahadat Awan. Senate also recommended that each Ministry and Division of the government shall immediately publish their respective updated Laws, Rules and Regulations on their websites. Further, Senate said that in case of any amendment, update the site for the use of general public.

The 3 bills that senate passed include “The Guardians and Wards (Amendment) Bill, 2020” and “The Control of Narcotic Substances (Amendment) Bill, 2022”. “The Code of Criminal Procedure (Amendment) Bill, 2021.
The house introduced seven bills. These bills include “The Prevention and Rehabilitation of Vagrants Bill, 2022”, “The Public Finance Management (Amendment) Bill, 2022” and “The China Pakistan Economic Corridor Authority (Amendment) Bill, 2022”. More bills include “The Right to Free and Compulsory Education (Amendment) Bill, 2022” and “The Constitution (Amendment) Bill, 2022”. Other bills are “The Public Private Partnership Authority (Amendment) Bill, 2022” and “The Special Technology Zones Authority (Amendment) Bill, 2022.”
Furthermore, The chair referred the bills to the concerned standing committees of the House.
Moreover, The House is transacting private members’ business today.
At the end, the House offered fateha for the departed souls. The departed souls include the grandmother of Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani, martyred security officials, and others.
