The Pakistani team won the tri-nation series in New Zealand last week, and they are now in Brisbane, Australia, to play in two exhibition games before their T20 World Cup 2022 campaign.

On October 17, the Men in Green will play England in their first warm-up match. On October 19, they will play Afghanistan, and on October 23, they will play India to open their T20 World Cup 2022 campaign.

Shaheen Afridi, a left-arm bowler, has rejoined the national team after missing nearly four months owing to a knee injury sustained in the first Test against Sri Lanka in Galle in June.

Fakhar Zaman, a left-handed batter who was recently added to the 15-member lineup, won’t be available for the opening exhibition game, but the top-order batsman will finish his recovery in Brisbane.

The Babar Azam-led team will play in Group B against Bangladesh, South Africa, India, and two more qualifying teams; in order to advance to the semifinals, they must finish in the top two.
