A fantastic bowling drive against India in the second game of the Asia Cup 2023 in Sri Lanka allowed Pakistan pacer Shaheen Afridi to reach another milestone in his career.
With his four-for against India, the left-arm bowler reached 250 wickets in all formats. He is the third Pakistani and eighth overall bowler to reach the milestone before the age of 24.
Previously, Waqar Younis and Saqlain Mushtaq held the title.
Meanwhile, India has set a 267-run goal for Pakistan in the second game of the Asia Cup 2023 on Saturday at the Pallkele International Cricket Stadium.
After the top order, including skipper Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, failed to deliver due to spectacular bowling by Pakistani pacers, Ishan Kishan (82) and Hardik Pandya (87), forged a powerful fifth-wicket partnership to help India achieve a fighting total.
Shaheen Afridi got three wickets, while Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah each took three to limit the opposing team to 266.
