The event will be attended by SCO ministers responsible for overseas trade and business, and it will be hosted by Pakistani business Minister Jam Kamal Khan.
Pakistan has invited trade ministers from SCO member countries, including India. However, New Delhi will attend the meeting digitally because the Indian trade minister isn’t coming to Islamabad.
The Ministerial meeting is the final result of preparation done through a series of meetings held by senior officials from SCO member countries. These meetings, called the Commission of Senior Officials (CSO), ended in Islamabad on September 10th and 11th, 2024.
The SCO Ministers will discuss measures to strengthen regional cooperation in order to improve trade, advance sustainable development, and promote connectivity among SCO nations, all of which will contribute to regional economic growth.
The debates and outcomes of this Ministerial meeting will be considered and approved at the future Council of Heads of Government meeting on October 15-16, 2024, in Islamabad.
