In order to meet the needs of the Hazara region’s residents, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif today (Friday) inaugurated the creation of the Hazara Electric Supply Company (HAZECO).
This afternoon, he announced HAZECO has split off from the Peshawar Electric Supply Company while speaking at an event in Islamabad. He claimed that all legalities required for the creation of HAZECO would shortly be finished. But he urged the nation to practice energy conservation.
The incomplete Sui gas projects that were put on hold by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government will soon be finished, according to the prime minister. He said that official directives had been made in this regard. He said that the public would receive gas as soon as it became accessible.
Shehbaz Sharif recalled that it was former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, who ended the 20 hours-long load-shedding from the country by adding 11,000 megawatts of electricity.
He said, unfortunately, the PTI government of the past committed criminal negligence in development projects, including the initiatives relating to gas and power. He said Imran Khan never laid down a single brick of development in the country but has no match in hurling abuses and accusations at political opponents.
The IMF Managing Director has promised him that a team will soon visit Pakistan to complete the 9th review, the Prime Minister said, highlighting the government’s efforts to provide economic stability to the nation.
The PTI government, according to earlier remarks made on the occasion by Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Murtaza Javed Abbasi, halted this project. He stated the opinion that the PML-N will lead the nation out of challenges since its government is led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and has a history of serving the masses.
