Shireen Mazari, a key leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has announced her resignation from the party and from politics.
The announcement follows the recent incidents that occurred on May 9 and 10, which she strongly denounced.
Shireen Mazari addressed the media at a press conference, expressing her strong opposition to all forms of violence and her solidarity with the victims and their families. “I condemn the incidents of May 9 and 10 in the strongest possible terms,” she stated.
Shireen Mazari stressed the importance of respecting state institutions and condemned any acts of hostility against them during her press conference.
She notably cited attacks on key institutions like as the General Headquarters (GHQ) and the Parliament, emphasising the importance of condemning such activities.
“I am no longer a member of the PTI or any political party,” she declared.
Shireen Mazari expressed her everlasting dedication to her children and mother, stating that they are her primary concern at this time.
