KARACHI – The Sindh government has announced a public holiday on Tuesday, August 20, in observance of the Urs of renowned Sufi poet and saint, Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai.
According to a notification issued by the provincial government on Friday, all offices, autonomous and semi-autonomous bodies, corporations, and local councils under the administrative control of Sindh will remain closed.
Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai, a revered Sufi saint, poet, and scholar, is honored annually by thousands of devotees at his shrine in Bhit Shah, Sindh.
