As per the recent press conference by the Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Pakistan will recieve the first batch of vaccine this month. This was assured by China, as they said Pakistan will recieve 500,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine till January 31. 14 COVID-19 centres have been set up in the province of Sindh with 9 of them being in Karachi. The distribution of the centres within Karachi is with 2 centres for each South, East and Central District, while one centre each for West, Malir and Korangi.
The other centres are established in Sukkur, Larkana, Hyderabad, Shaheed Benazirabad and Mirpurkhas for Sindh. Firstly, the vaccine will be given to the frontline workers in the first quarter on 2021, free of charge.
