After Punjab, the Pakistan military is launching corporate farming in Sindh, following the signing of a government-to-government joint venture agreement between the provincial government and M/S Green Corporate Initiative (Pvt.) Limited.
This initiative, operating under the military’s umbrella, aims to engage in corporate agriculture farming on available barren land in different provinces.
The project falls under the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) and is part of broader efforts to introduce corporate agriculture farming in various provinces of Pakistan.
The agreement involves the allocation of approximately 52,713 acres of barren land for a period exceeding 20 years. The military’s involvement is positioned as a pilot project to boost agricultural development and contribute to local infrastructure in identified areas.
