In another notable achievement for Pakistan, Constable Shahnawaz Khan of the Sindh Police clinched a gold medal at the South Asian Bodybuilding Championship. Shahnawaz triumphed over competitors from India, marking India’s first defeat in the championship in over six decades. The event was held in the Maldives.
Khan was visibly emotional during the medal ceremony as Pakistan’s national anthem played. “I cannot describe my feelings in words,” he said, reflecting on his victory.
A genetically gifted bodybuilder, Shahnawaz Khan is now setting his sights on the World Championships, also to be held in the Maldives later this year. He has sought support from the Inspector General of Sindh to aid his preparation for the global competition.
