According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), a Pakistan Army soldier was martyred and a terrorist was slain during an exchange of fire in the Bajaur district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province on Thursday.
According to the military’s media arm, an exchange of fire occurred in the general region of Loesam in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Bajaur District between security personnel and terrorists.
According to the ISPR, Pakistan Army forces engaged the terrorists’ location valiantly and efficiently, killing one militant during the shootout.
“However, during an intense exchange of fire, Sepoy Shafiq Ur Rehman (age 23 years, resident of DI Khan), having fought gallantly, embraced martyrdom,” according to the ISPR.
It further stated that the area is being sanitized in order to eradicate any terrorists discovered there.
The Pakistani security forces are determined to eliminate the threat of terrorism, and the sacrifices of our brave soldiers enhance our determination, according to the statement.
A day earlier, two terrorists were killed in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s (KP) Bannu district’s general area Jani Khel.
On the reported presence of terrorists in the region,’ security personnel conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the general area of Jani Khel in the Bannu district.
“During the operation, security forces and terrorists exchanged intense fire.” As a result, two terrorists were gunned down,” the ISPR stated, adding that firearms and ammo were retrieved from the terrorists who were slain.
