Dr. Shahbaz Gill, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Political Communication, stated on Wednesday that the federal government will issue a tender for the construction of the Hyderabad-Sukkur highway project in October.
Work on the Hyderabad-Sukkur (M6) highway project will begin soon, according to the SAPM. In October, proposals for construction work on the M6 highway project will be solicited.
The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) authorized the building of the Hyderabad-Sukkur motorway at a revised PC-1 cost of Rs 191.471 billion.
The 306-kilometer, 6-lane, gated roadway would be built using the built-operate-transfer (BOT) method. According to the ECNEC meeting in Islamabad, which was presided over by Minister of Finance Shaukat Tarin, the project is expected to be completed in 30 months.
The Hyderabad-Sukkur project, he claims, is part of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Sindh plan.
