A terrorist assault on a security checkpost in Kohat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), resulted in the tragic martyrdom of at least four individuals, including three dedicated policemen and a civilian.
The targeted police post near Lachi Toll Plaza faced a fierce attack by terrorists wielding advanced weaponry. The fallen officers were identified as Amjad, Junaid, and Waqar.
The assailants engaged in a prolonged gunfight, compelling the terrorists to eventually retreat. Following the incident, a substantial police force was swiftly dispatched to the area, initiating a thorough search operation.
In a separate late-night attack in Peshawar’s Regi Model Town area, at least two policemen lost their lives when a group of terrorists opened fire on a police checkpoint. Constables Wajid and Farman were martyred, while two others sustained injuries during this heinous act.
The Peshawar police spokesperson provided these distressing details, underscoring the ongoing threat faced by law enforcement in the region.
