The $149 million worth of bogies imported from China is unable to operate on Pakistani tracks, casting doubt on the effectiveness and skill of the inspectors who inspected them in China.
According to sources, they would need to invest hundreds of thousands of rupees only to operate the bogies in question.
Additionally, they stated that Pakistan Railways’ Ski Line was undergoing maintenance. However, they emphasized that since the brakes wouldn’t function correctly due to incorrect pressure pipes, there was a possibility of accidents.
The administration began installing two to two and a half-inch thick pipes in the bogies here in Pakistan while keeping all of the issues in mind. A 20-inch pipe was originally installed on these bogies.
Chief Mechanical Engineer Mohammad Haseeb said that the bogies were being technically fitted.
