1/9 people in the world sleep empty stomach because of the lack of resources which is increasing day by day. The world is in crisis and 2020 has really not proven to be a good omen hence things are not really looking good especially after the pandemic. The scarce resources and increasing prices in foods is further deteriorating the condition of working-class in specific. The malnourishment further leads to immense healthcare issues and a vicious cycle of such havoc continues.
A report by the World Health Organization estimates that around 820 million people in the world are at the brink of being malnourished and is estimating an increase in food insecurity in the coming years. Global trends of being undernourished are being worsened due to coronavirus. The excessive burden lies in the third world countries where the reason of such hunger issues is that people are not able to afford the cost of living. The government often fails to facilitate as well. However, the issue is so deeply rooted that it cannot be corrected overnight but during a crisis that is hitting the economy adversely, subsidies, special relief packages and employment benefits can be provided to such people
