Three multifunctional dams proposed for the Tank, Dera Ismail Khan districts will generate 25.5 megawatts of energy and assist irrigate thousands of acres of barren land.
According to APP, new dams such as Tank Zam Dam, Chodwan Zam Dam, and Daraban Dam would be constructed first because the region is experiencing a water shortage.
A total of 109,721 acres of barren land would be irrigated if these dams were built. These dams will also bring an agricultural revolution to the poor region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as well as assuring food security and provide work opportunities for the locals.
