Once home to Sindhi fishermen, Karachi now is an increasingly growing economic city that has its strongholds in the country allowing to its seaports. Known primarily for its everlasting hustle and bustle, the city also has a lot more to boast of. Amidst all the chaos, there are a few tourist attractions that are a must-visit and you shall love them! The historical, cultural and natural beauty that Karachi has to present, is all worth it. Here are 10 places to visit in Karachi, and you should, by all means, consider visiting!

Karachi is more about business and revenue generation for Pakistan. However, the city is also one of the best tourist places to visit in the country. Unlike other culturally enriched cities, like Multan and Lahore, Karachi is more about historical monuments. The top 10 places to visit in Karachi are more from the colonial era. Contrary to that, the places to visit in Multan are more about religious landmarks such as Shah Gardez.

1. Clifton Beach

Being one of the most popular beaches of Karachi, Clifton is bound to attract you point first on your visit! Stepping foot on the sand, you’ll come to view decorated camels and of course loads of snacks being sold out here and there. Horse rides, camel rides and ATV drives are what is bound to make your visit all the more fun!

2. Frere Hall

The iconic Frere Hall is named after a British administrator Sir Henry Frere who suggested for Sindhi to be made the official language of the province. Now turned into a library and exhibition space, the architecture of the structure is an eye-catching blend of the Gothic and British styles. Owing to its importance in the history of the city, it is one must-go-to place.

3. Mohatta Palace

Built back in 1925 by a Rajasthani Hindu prince, the Mohatta Palace is a beautiful amalgamation of art, culture and architecture. Upon the inception of Pakistan, the prince was forced to move to India, after which the palace has served as home to Fatima Jinnah, been a museum, and is now used as an exhibition space as well as in hosting other events. 5. St. Patrick’s Cathedral

Designed by the British, this is the centre of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Karachi. Owing to its magnificent structure, this church is definitely worth a visit. Constructed back in 1881, it has the capacity of holding a total of 2000 worshippers. Right in front of the building stands yet another monument in the honor of the Jesuit mission in Sindh.
