Torkham border crossing between Pakistan and Afghanistan has been opened for business activities, said the official.
According to reports provided by government sources, loaded vehicles from both sides arrived at the Torkham border.
The opening of business operations at the Pakistan-Afghanistan border has also been confirmed by Pakistani customs officials.
Customs seizes container smuggling urea to Afghanistan
At the Torkham border crossing, the Customs officials had earlier seized a container containing a cargo of urea fertilizer.
A shipment of 40 tonnes of urea fertilizer that was being smuggled to Afghanistan was detected during the department’s employees’ examination of an export container at the border crossing, according to Assistant Collector of Customs Muhammad Tayeb.
