Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was accorded a grand welcome upon his arrival at the Prime Minister’s House on Thursday during his two-day official visit to Pakistan.
A smartly turned-out contingent of the armed forces presented a guard of honour to President Erdogan as he reached the PM House, where Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif personally received him at the main entrance.
Earlier, President Erdogan landed at Nur Khan Airbase, where he was greeted by President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. First Lady Aseefa Bhutto, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, and other senior government officials were also present to welcome the Turkish leader.
A formal welcome ceremony was held in his honour at the Prime Minister’s House, marking the beginning of high-level engagements between the two nations.
