American president Joe Biden has announced his intent to nominate Donald Armin Blome as the US Ambassador to Pakistan, the seat that was empty for last 3 years.
3 Year Earlier in August 2018 David Hale left his seat as US Ambassador to Pakistan, which has not been filled since. Since then the US diplomatic mission in the South Asian countries has been led by Ms. Angela Aggeler.

About Donald Armin Blome
Donald Armin Blome is currently the US ambassador to Tunisia and he is said to be fluent in Arabic language.
Before Tunisia, Donald Armin Blome also worked as the Consul General at the US Consulate in Jerusalem, and the Director of the Office of Arabian Peninsula Affairs at the US State Department.
Donald Armin Blome served as Political Counsel at the US Embassy in Afghanistan, and the Minister-Consultant for Economic and Political Affairs at the US Embassy in Cairo.
