On Friday, the Pakistani rupee faced depreciation against the US dollar in the open market, while maintaining relative stability in the inter-bank market.
According to currency dealers contacted by Business Recorder, the rupee was quoted at 286.25 for selling and 283.25 for buying purposes for customers.
In the inter-bank market, the rupee was observed at the 285 level against the US dollar.
Closing figures from Thursday’s trading indicated that the currency had concluded at 283 for buying and 286 for selling purposes, as reported by the Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan (ECAP).
