Strong trade and economic ties between Pakistan and the US are urgently needed, according to US State Department spokesperson Ned Price.
Ned Price stated that a ministerial discussion on trade and investment between Pakistan and the United States is now taking place in Washington during the press briefing.
According to a spokeswoman for the US State Department, 80 US companies employ more than 120,000 Pakistanis. The US is prepared to deepen its economic ties with Pakistan.
Ned Price said the United States (US) emerged as the biggest investor in Pakistan in the last two decades. He asked the Afghan Taliban once more to adhere to their commitments. According to a representative for the US State Department, the Taliban should make sure that groups like ISIS, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), and others do not disturb the calm in the area.
Ned Price, a spokesman for the US State Department, stated earlier that Pakistan had the right to protect itself against terrorism.
Price emphasized that the US is closely watching the situation in Afghanistan and urged the Taliban to uphold their promise to ensure that Afghan soil is never once again used as a base for international terrorist activities.
