Following a series of teases and rumors, Vivo has officially announced the launch date for its new flagship phones. The X70 range will go worldwide on September 10, only a day after it debuts in China.
Several well-known Twitter tipsters, including Abhishek Yadav, have claimed this debut date. His tweet includes official posters for the Vivo X70 as well as a debut date. The worldwide model of the Vivo X70 will run Origin OS, while the Chinese version will run Funtouch OS.
The tweet also includes official pictures of the Vivo X70, which corroborate the device’s design. As usual, Vivo uses a narrow and vertical camera arrangement in the corner, contained in a rectangular cutout. Two big camera sensors are seen atop a smaller one and an optical zoom periscope lens.
The primary camera has the Zeiss T branding, which is shared with Sony’s Xperia 1 premium phones. The letter T in this logo represents a unique type of lens coating that reduces glare produced by stray light.
Since the predecessor provided the SD888, we predict the Vivo X70 series will include the Snapdragon 888+ SoC. There will also be a fake leather option, as has become customary with Vivo X series phones.
