The World Bank has approved a $300 million loan for the construction of climate-resistant roads in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to a press release issued by the World Bank on Friday, the funding will support the upgrading of rural roads to provide safe and reliable access to schools, health facilities, and markets in the province’s most vulnerable districts.
The project will also improve connectivity to markets and provincial centers, which will help rural farmers generate more income by lowering transportation costs and travel times.
