Meta-owned WhatsApp is rolling out a redesigned interface for its Communities tab, aimed at improving user experience and streamlining access to group chats within various Communities.
The update, currently available to some beta testers, brings a cleaner and more intuitive layout to the Communities tab, making it easier for users to locate and navigate between different Communities and their associated group chats, according to WABetaInfo.
One of the key improvements is a more compact design that reduces screen clutter, allowing users to see more Communities on a single page. This change significantly minimizes the need for excessive scrolling to find a specific Community or group chat.
Additionally, the new design provides a quick snapshot of the latest activity in each Community, displaying recent group chats for easy access. A new feature also introduces a dedicated button next to each Community name, enabling users to view all linked group chats with a single tap.
Currently, the updated Communities tab is being rolled out to a select group of beta testers, with plans for broader availability in the coming days.
