The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has officially announced that India will host the 2025 Men’s Asia Cup, which will be played in the T20 format. The 2027 Men’s Asia Cup will shift to the ODI format and will be hosted by Bangladesh.
The 2025 and 2027 tournaments will feature six teams: India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and a sixth team that will qualify through a preliminary event.
The next edition of the Women’s Asia Cup, scheduled for 2026, will also adopt the T20 format. This update follows the release of an Invitation for Expressions of Interest (IEOI) document by the ACC on Saturday, inviting proposals for ACC Sponsorship Rights for the period from 2024 to 2027.
The document outlines that all tournament details, including schedules, dates, formats, and venues, are tentative and subject to change at the ACC’s discretion.
The announcement aims to attract sponsors and support the growth of cricket across Asia. The tournaments are anticipated to draw significant attention and participation, with teams competing for prestigious titles.
For more information and updates, the cricketing community is encouraged to stay tuned to ACC announcements and prepare for an exciting series of cricketing events in the coming years.
