Saudi Arabia inaugurate the world’s highest hanging prayer room, officially recognized by Guinness World Records. Perched at an astonishing 483 meters above sea level, this architectural marvel is housed within the bridge connecting the two towers of the Address Jabal Omar Mecca Hotel.
This engineering marvel provides unparalleled views of the Kaaba and other significant religious landmarks in Mecca. The 650-tonne steel bridge, assembled at 312 meters above ground using cutting-edge technology and specially designed equipment, was elevated to its final position, linking the twin towers across floors 36, 37, and 38.
Designed to accommodate up to 520 worshippers in a spacious 550 square meter area, the prayer room seamlessly blends traditional Arabic designs with modern luxury. Adorned with Arabic calligraphy featuring the names of Allah, the interior reflects the rich Islamic heritage, enhancing the sanctity of the space.
Beyond its structural prowess, the prayer hall offers worshippers a spiritual experience filled with peace and tranquility. From the prayer hall, attendees can witness the sunrise over Mecca during Fajr prayers, while the warm glow of the sunset bathes the chapel in serenity.
This achievement stands as a testament to both engineering ingenuity and creative architectural prowess
