Yahoo Answers is one of the longest-running and the oldest Question and Answer platforms on the web in the history of the internet. Yahoo has now announced the closure of the service in the first week of May. The platform was in operation since 2005 and each archive of the platform will cease to exist, while the webpage will redirect to the Yahoo homepage.
Yahoo Answers will no longer take any submission, while the FAQ section on the webpage further explains the timeline of the shutdown. However, Yahoo which is now part of the Verizon Media Group, followed by the companies sale to telecom for $5 Billion in 2017, has informed the users as well. Furthermore, the users are requested to keep their data backed up from the webpage as the data will no longer be available for anyone after June 30th.
