Former Pakistan Cricket Team captain Muhammad Hafeez was offered the position of chief selector by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) new head Zaka Ashraf, but he declined the offer for the time being, according to reports.
According to sources, Muhammad Hafeez met with Zaka Ashraf in Lahore and congratulated him on regaining control of the PCB.
There are also rumors that former captain Younis Khan, Mohsin Hassan Khan, and Saleem Yousaf will be appointed to the selection committee.
According to the sources, Shoaib Akhtar’s name was also considered for a post in PCB, but Zaka Ashraf turned him down.
According to reports, Muhammad Hafeez respects Zaka Ashraf as an administrator but does not want to work right now.
He stated that he would take any offer that would benefit Pakistan Cricket.
